Magic, dystopias, monsters, and strange new worlds
In this section you’ll find young adult fantasy and science fiction in a fairly broad sense: magical worlds, dark academies, dystopian futures, myth-inspired stories, paranormal series, and adventure-led coming-of-age novels.
A lot of the current stock comes from well-known YA series and authors, including Sarah J. Maas, Cassandra Clare, J. K. Rowling, Maggie Stiefvater, Rick Riordan, Suzanne Collins, and Tahereh Mafi. There are also a few older crossover classics and some titles that sit between fantasy, sci-fi, and speculative fiction. Stock may change.
This category is not tiny at the moment, but it does lean strongly toward popular series fiction rather than hard science fiction. If you want more relationship-centred fantasy, have a look at YA Romantasy, which overlaps with this section but focuses more on romance-driven stories.
