“The Death of Hitler” by Ada Petrova and Peter Watson is a work of narrative non‑fiction that investigates the final days of Adolf Hitler and the collapse of the Third Reich, based on previously inaccessible Russian archival material. Drawing on unpublished interrogations of Hitler’s pilot, valet, and the commander of the bunker, as well as secret autopsy reports on Hitler, Eva Braun, and the Goebbels family, the authors reconstruct in detail what happened in the Führerbunker in 1945.
