Please, Mind the Bear is a book about respecting boundaries that others set for themselves and others. It tells the story of a bear who is an introvert and prefers solitude. Bear is very clear about what he doesn’t want, and he has a sign outside his house stating his rules. Rabbit doesn’t like rules and doesn’t respect boundaries. Despite Bear politely asking Rabbit to stop many times, Rabbit continues to push. What happens when someone clearly expresses their needs but is ignored? Children learn that not respecting others’ boundaries carries consequences.
